Family By Family, We Build Communities.
Indigo Door Project Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit, dedicated to decreasing child homelessness in single-parent families, and lightening the burden on grandparents raising grandchildren.
Want to help? Here’s how you can!

We all believe that children need warm, healthy housing in safe communities to thrive. Yet all over Oklahoma families are isolated, displaced, even homeless, and unsure what to do next. The Indigo Door Project helps stabilize communities by acquiring affordable, healthy homes for single-parent families, and repairing the homes of grandparents with children in their care. We accept donated homes, lots, and commercial properties in diverse communities all over the Oklahoma City Metro and renovate them with the help of professionals, volunteers, and corporate sponsors. Then, we provide them to vulnerable households as affordable rentals and community-building spaces. Effectively pulling children and youth out of chronic homelessness and displacement while providing opportunities for connection.
To ensure success in the program, and in life, we connect mothers, and fathers, to mentors that teach resource management, goal achievement, and life skills. To create a support network, the Indigo Door Project connects the community through events like the Thrive Drive, and community “Beautification,” and “BUILD” events in partnership with other nonprofits, local and national businesses, and community members.
